If you are on paperless statements right before you cancel their card, I would suggest switching to paper so at least you get some notification when they freeze you out online. I'm supposed to call them to find out if they're going to ruin my credit with a glitch? I will never get another Barclay bank card again, this is some backwards BS customer service. I will have no notification if it's not credited unless I call Barclays or check my credit report. So basically, I have to trust that this annual fee which was supposed to be credited back to my account already will actually be credited back at some point this month before my next statement cuts. They can't change me back to paper statements because the account is closed. They can't reinstate online access b/c the account is closed. I call Barclays and they tell me these things: 1. I try to log in online to see what's up and I no longer have online access. Pulled my creditkarma this weekend and I see an $89 balance on a closed Barclays account. They assured me the annual fee would be credited back to my account. If you cancel enrollment in paperless statements, you will receive paper statements by mail and will continue to have access to electronic statements online (for up to 12 months). Just after my annual fee posted, I canceled the card and paid off the current month's charges. You may cancel paperless statements in Account Online or by calling us at the number on the back of your card. I had the Barclaycard Arrival+ for one year. I'm in the most ridiculous situation with Barclay's right now and I can't imagine anyone but a churner understanding.
